“85% of Diabetic foot amputations are preventable.” High Risk Diabetic feet, having neuropathy &/or vasculopathy are likely to get ulcers with minor traumas/injuries which, if ignored, will get infected and ultimately may deteriorate to develop gangrenous changes needing amputation. Early detection & care of such lesion is mandatory. Educators plays a key role by teaching Foot care to people with diabetes. National Diabetes Educators Program’s 6th & 7th module was conducted recently by Dr. Sunil & Kavita Gupta at DCRC.
