Dr. Sunil Gupta has been honoured with “Young Achiever’s Award” during National Congress on Clinical Diabetes (NCCD) on 9th April 2016 at Kolkata. He delivered his talk on “Lipohypertrophy: an Overlooked entity”.

In his original research work he showed that there is deposition of extra fat while taking insulin injection repeatedly at the same site. “Swelling at injection site interfere with insulin absorption and can cause unexplained low sugar attack. Thus, one should learn and follow proper site rotation of insulin injection, should avoid multiple reuse of same needle”, said Dr Gupta during his oration.
